The L-shaped, single-storey small school was planned to be located behind the “rooster church” designed by Károly Kós. The characteristically steep roof and the open, arched entrance vestibule are the principal distinctive features of this simple composition of domestic scale.
The design was described as follows in a contemporary ecclesiastical publication:
“Our parochial community, however, feels that the construction of the church must be followed by the realization of the […] girls’ school as well. For this reason, at the request of our building committee, the architect Károly Kós, with refined sensitivity, also prepared the design for the school, which is planned for the clearing at the center of the garden.”
