Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kolozsvár

A design competition for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cluj was announced in February 1909. It is not known whether Károly Kós took part in the competition; he is certainly not listed among the prize winners. The Secessionist building designed by József Huber was executed in 1910. Nevertheless, Magyar Építőművészet published a façade design credited to Kós in its December issue of the same year.
In the first half of 1909, a separate competition was announced for the design of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Marosvásárhely. Kós’s joint entry with Sándor Toroczkai Radó was awarded third prize, and their design was realized between 1910 and 1911.
