Body
This building provides a compact and highly practical example of a residential house situated in a small-town environment—particularly when compared with Sztána and Kászonjakabfalva—and constructed using the simplest materials available locally. The main entrance, reached via a short flight of steps, opens onto a pleasant open terrace, whose roof is supported by robust columns.
A separate rear entrance leads through a small vestibule into the kitchen, and from there into the dining room and living room. From this small anteroom one can also access the bedroom and the staircase leading to the attic. The projecting roof planes of the combined dining and living space, together with the porch, complement and further emphasize the roof’s simple pyramidal form.
