Body
The simple, almost square plan of the dwelling can be compared to the parsonage designs produced by Kós Károly during this period, such as the one for Mikefalva. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, two rooms, and service spaces, while additional rooms are located in the attic. Although the house was essentially built according to the plans, the replacement of the plain, simple plaster finish and the deviation of the windows from the original design show how much the authenticity of a building depends on details. As early as the design of the Bodosi parsonage, Kós Károly warned his client not to allow others to alter his plans. He justified this emphatic request primarily with practical arguments to make it more understandable, yet between the lines one can sense the architect’s persistent commitment to beauty.
