Kós Károly recalled the design task he shared with Zrumeczky Dezső for a school and boarding building planned for Hűvösvölgy as follows:

“Throughout the entire autumn and winter [of autumn 1914 and early 1915], I therefore worked hard and steadily on the execution drawings and cost estimates for the hospital pavilions—not only on the hospital plans and budgets, but at the same time also on another commission that we had meanwhile won. For we received a fine commission from the capital, jointly with Zrumeczky, who likewise, in his ‘untauglich’ condition, was still a civilian: the design of a girls’ agricultural and horticultural vocational school and boarding school to be built in Hűvösvölgy. We completed the sketch designs as well. (Years later I still saw the perspective rendered so splendidly in watercolor by Zrumeczky hanging on the wall of the office of the architect Kabdebó, a municipal technical councillor at City Hall.) Although the capital approved our sketch design, we did not receive a commission to continue the work (to prepare the execution drawings, etc.): ‘that could only take place after the war—perhaps.’”
