Body
The unbuilt design of a small L-shaped holiday house was intended for one of the city’s hills. The semicircular projection emerging from the steep gable is a characteristic feature of Kós’s villa designs, particularly during this period (e.g. the Csulak, Imre, and Malmos villas). This projection is counterbalanced by the negative form of an open porch placed at the corner of the house, supported by a single massive column.
The Reformed parsonage at Erősdi is almost identical to the 1926 drawing of the Hincz House, which was published in Erdélyi Helikon in 1928. The floor plan of the Erősdi building includes solutions that are somewhat unusual for Kós, suggesting that this later design is more likely an adaptation of the previously published illustration rather than a newly conceived design by Kós.
