Village House II.

Fourth-year student project. In contrast to the similar third-year project, this house design is more successful and, in its final form, also more picturesque. The transition and softening of the rigidity evident in the earlier design can be observed in the combination of the strictly projecting attic windows with the gable, as well as in the way the roof extends outward to cover the entrance steps.

In this project, the architect introduces the use of a plaster band on the façade between the timber beams and the stonework.
