Body
A significant design that combines the church and the parsonage into a composition of interconnected pavilions, similar to the schools at Városmajor and Csíksomlyó. The church resembles the architect’s other church designs: its simple rectangular form is articulated by Romanesque-style paired windows, the entrance portal, and buttresses. A distinctive feature of the design is the repetition of the gable, which creates a small apse-like projection at the rear of the building, providing light for the pulpit set within the resulting alcove. The linear character of the church plan is emphasized by the absence of a side entrance and by the placement of the gallery above the main entrance. The two elements are connected by the arched colonnade of a portico, from which the pastor’s office also opens. From the office, separate entrances lead to the church and to the parsonage. The otherwise small parsonage is distinguished by its large, open veranda.
