Small House

Design for a house with a small attic. The square ground plan with an entrance porch placed at the corner appears frequently in Kós’s sketch designs. The placement of the building on flat terrain is unusual, and consequently the design lacks a basement; the ground floor therefore does not rise significantly above the level of the surrounding plot.

Very similar family-house designs were also drawn by Thoroczkai Wigand Ede (e.g., “Haruba”), with whom Kós occasionally collaborated.
