Kós presented two design variants for the renovation and expansion of this medieval church.
The simple, almost square plan of the dwelling can be compared to the parsonage designs produced by Kós Károly during this period, such as the one for Mikefalva.
Between 1990 and 1994, at the initiative of Pastor Incze Zoltán, the church was built on the site of the demolished old church, using the original plans.
The entirely new Calvinist church is located near one of Kolozsvár’s industrial districts. Standing on a rise above the road, the church dominates its surroundings with its steep, tent-like roof.
A typical Kós design for the renovation and expansion of a simple Árpád-period church.
“…even after his retirement, he continued to work in the Institute’s technical department.
A house and cellar built of brick on a stone foundation located on hillside. A close parallel to the house of Mihály Balla.
A small, square-shaped chapel with a covered entrance porch. A small ridge turret projecting from the porch marks the entrance. It is similar to the design prepared for Egeres–Ferencbánya.
This multi-storey, L-shaped school building—one of the most significant commissions of Kós Károly’s later career—was intended to stand on a corner plot in the town.
A significant design that combines the church and the parsonage into a composition of interconnected pavilions, similar to the schools at Városmajor and Csíksomlyó.
